Founded in 2003, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas offers a unique learning experience. Considered one of the most popular tourist attractions, Las Vegas provides inspiration and real life work experience for cooking students. In addition, the connection with the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu training program signifies a dedication to comprehensive, engaging, hands-on instruction from some of the top professionals in the food industry.

Le Cordon Bleu programs are known for blending current cooking techniques with traditional methods. The school in Las Vegas uses modern, commercial kitchens, labs, and classrooms to teach a combination of practical methods, skills (including 450 specific proficiencies), and management theory.

Students can earn an Associate of Occupational Science Degree in Culinary Arts. There is a focus on global cuisine including methodology and practical applications of food preparation. Instructors also emphasize the importance of nutrition and sanitation. As part of the program, students are required to work in the on-campus restaurant in order to grasp the ins and outs of the both the front and back of the house.

There is also the opportunity to study restaurant management and learn how to become an effective leader in a food service company. All courses are designed to last for a total of fifteen months – twelve months of coursework followed by an intensive three month externship. After the programs are completed, graduates will be qualified to work in mid-level positions as cooks, apprentice chefs, or kitchen managers. Upon graduation, the school’s placement service, which reaches beyond the United States to include overseas opportunities, is available to those who are interested.
