Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Minneapolis/St. Paul is proud to be the first school in the country to form a partnership with the widely recognized Le Cordon Bleu program. The college is located in a suburb of Minneapolis, on 1440 Northland Drive, Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and enjoys its reputation as a top college for training in classic and modern culinary arts. The campus boasts modern, commercial grade equipment, including demonstration kitchens and labs, to prepare students for the rigorous demands of the food service industry.

A comprehensive curriculum combines traditional techniques with contemporary methods. In just fifteen months (three months of which are reserved for an externship), students can receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree in either the Culinary Arts or Patisserie and Baking.

The Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program involves demonstration classes as well as hands-on learning. Students work under the supervision of the college’s executive chefs and they are expected to be highly motivated and serious about their training. By graduation, students are equipped to find mid-level jobs in a new career or move forward with a career-in-progress.

In the Le Cordon Bleu Patisserie and Baking Program students learn mainly by doing. The hands-on instruction is designed to teach the basic skills of baking and pastry, but the instructors also encourage students to express their creative sides and to show off their individual talents. In addition to the baking methods, the course includes classes in restaurant and people management, cost control, menu preparation, nutrition, sanitation, and wines and spirits.

The school expects all students to be highly charged and excited about the work challenges ahead of them. Applicants are required to have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
